The 37-year-old former MVP spent a chaotic, triple-double-heavy season in the nation’s capital before embarking on a nomadic tour of the Western Conference. Since leaving DC in 2021, he has bounced around like a pinball, wearing jerseys for the Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets, and Kings.
He is cheap now. Very cheap. For the last three years, Westbrook has chased minutes on bargain-bin deals worth $3 million or less. Expect another cheap, short-term contract wherever he lands. He still produces. Last season, the veteran put up 15.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game. He even swiped 1.3 steals. It is not MVP-level dominance, but for a team trying to teach kids how to play with an edge, Westbrook’s manic energy might be worth the pocket change.
