Brady Christensen is ready to hit people again. The veteran offensive lineman has officially received the green light from doctors after tearing his Achilles last October while playing for the Carolina Panthers. He is cleared for full contact.
He is currently a street free agent. His contract expired back in March, and while he has kept the lines of communication open with Carolina, he is not holding his breath. He just wants a job. Any job.
“I think my ideal situation is to go in and compete,” Christensen said. He does not care about his spot on the depth chart or which position he plays, noting he now feels comfortable anywhere on the line. For him, the goal is simple. He wants to play on Sundays.
Versatility is his biggest selling point. Christensen played all over the line during his 59-game tenure with the Panthers. Now that he is fully healthy, some team looking for cheap, experienced depth before training camp starts will likely give him a call.
