A homicide investigation on the Isle of Wight has evaporated. Police have released a 47-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy without charge. They are no longer suspects. The man’s death is not suspicious.
It started with a panic call. Paramedics rushed to a home in Downsview, Sandown, on Thursday evening. They found a man in his 50s bleeding out from what looked like stab wounds. He died in a hospital bed. Naturally, the cops locked the place down and cuffed the two people inside.

Hampshire police now admit the initial arrests were just a knee-jerk reaction to the chaotic scene. After digging deeper, detectives realized there was no murder here. The case is closed. The pair walked free on Sunday night with clean records.
