Bring Back the OG: Chase Young Demands Saints Pay Cameron Jordan

Sports

Chase Young is finally living up to the draft hype. His 2025 season was a statement. Double-digit sacks. Non-stop snaps. Now, with Cameron Jordan lingering in free-agency limbo, Young is the default leader at Saints spring workouts.

But he does not want to fly solo.

Young wants Jordan back. Badly.

During an appearance on NFL Network with Ian Rapoport and Patrick Claybon, the young pass-rusher made his pitch. He did not hedge. He went straight for the heartstrings.

“Cam, what he’s done for this organization past 15 years, it’s phenomenal,” Young said. He called Jordan a big brother. A gold-jacket lock. A vital presence. “If it were me, I would love to get OG back in the building.”

It is a savvy move. Young is clearly angling for a captain’s patch. Respecting the elders is a quick way to win over a locker room. But the NFL is a cold business.

Jordan is a legend. He can still rush the passer. He can still keep a young, fragile locker room from fracturing when the losses pile up. But right now, he does not even have a nameplate on a locker. The front office is playing chicken. Young made his play. Now we wait to see if the money men actually care.
