The victory itself was remarkable: Mississippi State delivered Oklahoma’s first shutout since 2019, spearheaded by Delainey Everett’s three-hitter. Furthermore, the Bulldogs ended Oklahoma’s impressive nine-consecutive WCWS appearance streak.
Mississippi State is set to make its Women’s College World Series debut on May 28, facing No. 11 seed Texas Tech at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN, live from Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
