Another night, another roadside floral tribute in the making. A 17-year-old kid is dead after a blue Seat Ibiza Xcellence lost its battle with a tree in Staplehurst, Kent. It happened Thursday night. Just after 8:25 PM. The car had just pulled out of a junction onto Headcorn Road when everything went sideways, ending in a tangle of metal and bark.
First responders flooded the scene. Sirens, flashing blue lights, the smell of fuel. Paramedics and fire crews did what they could, but the clock had already run out for the teenage driver. He was pronounced dead right there on the tarmac. Two passengers, aged 17 and 19, survived the impact but paid a heavy price. They were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Their lives are changed forever.
