Discount Rack Expansion: Burlington Drops 14 New Locations This June

Retail is tough. Burlington doesn’t care. The off-price giant is pushing ahead with its relentless brick-and-mortar expansion, plotting to open 14 new stores across 10 states this June alone. It is all part of a massive land grab to push their total footprint well past the 1,000-store milestone.

They aren’t stopping there. By the time 2026 wraps up, the company wants another 100 locations up and running. CEO Michael O’Sullivan is talking up an “improved store design” to lure in bargain hunters, promising the usual mix of cheap brand-name goods and trendy threads. It is the classic retail playbook. Dress up the aisles, slash the prices, and hope the foot traffic follows.

Supply chains need feeding. To keep those racks packed, Burlington broke ground back in April on a monstrous, two-million-square-foot distribution hub near Phoenix, Arizona. That behemoth won’t actually open until 2028, but the corporate machine waits for no one.

For now, the immediate focus is June. Here is where the new bargain bins are landing.

The rollout starts mid-month. On June 18, doors open at 9653 Colerain Ave. in Cincinnati, Ohio, and 4127 N US Hwy. 75 in Anna, Texas. A week later, on June 25, a second wave hits: Canandaigua, New York (3225 NY-364 Ste. 25); Brandywine, Maryland (15920 Crain Hwy.); National City, California (1410B E Plaza Blvd.); and Austin, Texas (9500 S I-35 Frontage Rd. Building K).

The final June rush happens on the 26th. Eight more spots join the roster: Flagstaff, Arizona (1514 S Riordan Ranch St.); Hesperia, California (12779 Main St.); Oxnard, California (1855 Ventura Blvd.); Brooksville, Florida (13173 Cortez Blvd.); Montgomery Village, Maryland (19142 Montgomery Village Ave.); Bellevue, Nebraska (10521 S 15th St.); Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (2200 E Hillside Dr.); and Washington, Utah (720 W Telegraph St.)
